Benjamin F. Wu was born near Wuhan, China and immigrated to the U.S.  Mr. Wu focuses his practice in the areas of business transactions, estate planning, and real estate. His practice benefits significantly from his many contacts within the People's Republic of China (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Wuhan, and Shenzhen) and his dual native language capabilities. Mr. Wu has a native's understanding of both Chinese and American cultures - and the ability to avoid cross-cultural confusion and the difficulties that often can result.

Mr. Wu is an experienced negotiator with clients on both sides of the Pacific, and is the principal U.S. Counsel for a Chinese auto-supplies distributor headquartered in Beijing, China. He has acted as counsel in the development of strategic business and negotiations plans for Chinese clients in the U.S.

Mr. Wu is also a Michigan Supreme Court-certified civil mediator.  He has mediated breach of contract issues as well as landlord/tenant disputes, and has also assisted in the development of a plan along with a curriculum for the recruitment and training of mediators and arbitrators in Sino-American Disputes.

Mr. Wu is currently completing his article titled "The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in China: Navigating the Informal Rules of Guanxi Legally".
